Notice for Online Chinese Visa applications with E-application Forms and Pre-booked appointments

In order to improve the Chinese visa application services, the Chinese Embassy in Australia will start to host online application form submission and appointment booking system from 1st August 2020. Applicants will be required to fill their online electronic application forms at www.visaforchina.org . For more detailed information, please refer to the attachment.

From 1st Aug 2020 to 31st Aug 2020, applicants can still use the existing physical paper application forms of version 2013. Starting from 1st Sep 2020, all applications will have to be submitted through the online application system. The Chinese Embassy in Australia will cease to accept applications forms of version 2013.

Applicants who hold diplomatic, service passports, are not required to pre-book online, and they only need to complete the online application forms at www.visaforchina.org, then proceed to submit all relevant and necessary documents at the Chinese Embassy in Australia.

According to “Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China National Immigration Administration Announcement on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits”, if you are coming to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergency humanitarian needs, please make the appointment through canberracenter@visaforchina.org with the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Canberra.
